Part of the George Laybourne Founder's Collection, The Guardsman is produced in a strictly limited edition and will not be repeated. Inspired by the enduring elegance of traditional British regimental stripes, it reflects a style that has remained unchanged for generations.

Woven in Cheshire on refined 36oz silk and hand-finished in England, The Guardsman is crafted using traditional self-tipped construction. The lighter silk offers an elegant drape and forms a beautifully balanced knot, making it an exceptionally versatile choice throughout the year.

The muted slate blue ground is complemented by bold crimson and white stripes, creating a design that is confident without excess. Equally suited to business tailoring, a navy blazer or formal occasions, it is a tie that brings character while remaining unmistakably classic.

As one of the original designs created during the launch of George Laybourne, The Guardsman forms part of our Founder's Collection. Produced in limited numbers, it marks the beginning of our story and will not be produced again in its current form.

George Laybourne Notes IX

There is satisfaction in tying the same knot your father tied before you, and perhaps your son will tie after you. Some traditions deserve preserving, not reinventing.
